I'm originally from the small town of Matthews, NC where I lived for 22 years as Jon Williams (Not this guy, definitely not this guy, and always hearing jokes that I'm this guy). As a young boy I always enjoyed entertaining others by impersonating noises and people. I began acting and improvisation in high school and started producing, writing and acting in a regular sketch comedy series that aired on the local cable station. I started out with small roles in high school productions throughout the teen years and finally moved up to the lead of "Captain Von Trapp" in the high school's production of The Sound Of Music.

The next step was college in Boone, NC. Being a Communications Major, I studied filmmaking and television production, art, photography and theatre. My freshman year I received the Cratis Williams (no relation) Theater Scholarship. Over the next few years I ranged in roles from a chorus member in The Mikado to several improv / sketch comedy groups to the role of Mike Talman in Wait Until Dark with loads of other awesomely fun roles and college adventures sprinkled in between.

After graduating college I started working by day as a photographer's assistant at a production house in Charlotte, NC and in the evenings I would perform improv comedy. Slowly, improvisation became a larger source for my happiness so I decided to make the plunge and investigate moving to a place that "accepted" the art a bit more than a hotel bar in Charlotte did.

I took some vacation time from work and visited friends in New York City. By coincidence, the improv company Chicago City Limits was having an open call for a performance workshop. I signed up, auditioned, and flew back to Charlotte. A few days later I got a phone call from CCL asking if I wanted to do the workshop. I said "yes, " hung up the phone, walked into my boss' office and gave my 2 weeks notice, rented a truck, loaded it up and moved to New York City.

Ever since then, I've been performing my brand of character and sketch comedy throughout the city, and have been enjoying a successful career doing films, on-camera commercials, shorts and voice-overs. And I stil like to dabble in graphic design, photography and a whole heapin' other bunch of visual mediums.
